- Total $1030 (MASA = $30)
- MASA pays for drinks, utensils, paper cups/plates
- Should buy a lot of plates at SAMS club and keep for forever
- Cost of goods used: +/- $20
1.2.Food
- Sirap bandung – good but a little sweet
- Nescafe – a little sweet
- Excellent food
- Agar-agar not too popular because of fruits & karipap
- Abe will check for cooler in Sharp storage
1.3.Venue
- Girls area a little dirty because of the shoes and trash bin
- Size of room just nice (but can be bigger)
1.4.JPA Session
- Speakers were a little late
- A short briefing and get-to-know session
- But good it started late because students came in late

- Funds: need to give advance estimate for Int. Fest by tonight
- MASA printing code on union site

- Dikir barat = 6mins & Nasyid = 4mins
- Practice everynight till friday
- kompang – arrive on Wednesday

2. IFR Post-mortem

2.1. Attendance
- Students from PSU, CMU = 70 participants out of 80 registered
2.2. Lectures
- comment from participants: good lectures and time schedule
- venue: good
- food: good & enough food

- send congratulations email to IFR committee members (Fera)

- MASA will give $50 to committee

More variable of activities and not just dancing
- there are other events that they can participate in
- co-organize blood drive with FYE
- open mic
- community do not see activities like sports, IFR as an “activity” that everyone can participate in.
- MASA has done a lot of activities that people can participate in eg sports events, IFR and others.
- Community must realize this and start to participate in “activities” at their own will.
AAW is just one of the activities and not the only activity that community can participate in.

Short Trip
- Short trips are organized by private people
- MASA should organize event under MASA name so that everyone will join (eg, paintball)

1. Dinner With Prime Minister – Post Mortem
Date: September 28, 2004
Venue: Leonard’s, New York
Attendance
- dinner was attended by students and Malaysians residing in USA.
- 19 students (seniors & freshmen) represented RPI
Transportation
- students were transported by bus that was booked through the union
- cost: $895 + $100 (tip)
- bus cost was funded by MSD
- NOTE: please notify bus driver in advance where he should send students after

2. IFR Updates
Date: October 9, 2004
Problems
- need another lecture hall for parallel lecture
- need more volunteers to help in food department
- do not have a definite number of participants(will expect participants from IFR Michigan)
Other info & suggestions
- food committee lead by Rahmat and will be cooking food by themselves
- should be a briefing for the volunteers before event
- Still looking for moderator (brother Rejab on KIV)
- MCs: Ihsan, Arif and Farhan
- need to get souvenirs for speakers

3.Photo Session & Raya Cards

- Photo session will be held on Monday October 11, 2004 at 11am
- Venue for photo session has not been decided
- Abe and arif will survey suitable places on Tuesday

Community Iftar
- Marien will ask Kak Izan on the community iftar date

5.International Fest
Performance
- Nasyid performance will be organized by Awang and will be in English
- Dikir barat will be done in English and Bahasa Melayu

- Booth will proceed as discussed in previous meetings
- Arif is working on design of posters & calender
